When we get the chance to visit family, I also try to take the opportunity to step out from behind the camera. Looking back on my own baby photos, my mom is in so many. And then I realized that most of Behr's are just him. I am trying to be conscious of getting into the photos with Behr and also capturing him in context better - favorite places, family, friends. Rather than one hundred more close ups of Behr, I'm focusing on photos that will tell a story or prompt a memory for him when he is looking back someday.
I have been desperately trying to teach Behr to climb trees, one of my favorite past times as a kid. I want him to have the chance to know what it feels like to be high up there, without a care in the world. I want Behr to be comfortable around trees and to love being in the woods, despite growing up in an urban jungle.
Behr is rocking out the red white and blue with a janie and jack button down shirt and baby gap shorts.
p.s. huge thanks to my sister for capturing these moments.
Oh my goodness he has the MOST adorable face when he's being thrown in the air! And you look simply smashing :)
ReplyDeleteYou've inspired me to take more pics WITH Ava. I rarely do.
